Texas Automotive Performance was established in 1996 by Tomas Larson with the commitment of excellent automotive service, honest mechanics, and fair pricing. Since Tomas’s retirement, Isaiah took over the shop. Isaiah was a mechanic with Texas Automotive Performance for about 10 years and has been working with Volvos for over 20 years. The shop still remains family owned and operated, keeping the same values as when it was established.

I continue to come back to this repair shop for my Saab five years later. Tomas, the owner, is great. They address any issues on the car without concerns, but also complete the maintenance to keep it running. It's difficult to find individuals that work on Saab so this shop is so helpful, but also the integrity is unmatched.

Thomas, the owner, is great!! I have take my Saab here several different times and each time they have been extremely helpful and fair. Unfortunately, I live in an area where individuals are not familiar with Saab's. I found this shop on a trip to Houston while visiting family and I am happy that occurred. They have been honest and trustworthy. In a field where that is not the norm, it is truly appreciated! Any owner of a Saab knows that they can be finicky, but we become fans of the vehicles. This quirkiness at times can be challenging at times, but my experience has always been positive with this company. Thomas has gone over and beyond to assist me even when I was over 500 miles away. He truly is a wonderful person and I am forever grateful for his willingness me in having my car in working order.

I have not had anyone work on my car since I moved from Los Angeles. I was looking for a remote key for my Saab, and they told me they are available now instead of trying to sell me other products.( That happened with the other place I called). They gave me the price and had it available right away. I also had oil and fluids changed It took a while to get it done which is probably more than enough time needed, but they were busy and I did show up unexpectedly. An easy place to recommend

I wouldn't trust anyone else with my 1998 Saab. It is important to me to have someone who is extremely competent because I can't find a new car I like as well. They really know Saabs. They are honest and fair. Recently my car lost the belt and I took it to a shop near me. They gave me a quote on some other work that was twice what TPI charged me and they were wrong about some things they said needed to be done. TPI o explains things in an intelligent but understandable way. I give the highest marks to TAP!
